Ensure you trim your cotton wicks to 5mm each time before burning your candle. For wood wicks trim to 3mm and ensure you remove all previously burnt wood.
Wood wicks need to draw wax to burn, if they are not short and clean they will have trouble burning efficiently.
Always place candle on a heat-proof surface.
Always burn your candle for at least two hours, or until the wax has melted fully across the surface to prevent funnelling.
Never leave your candle burning for more than 4 hours, never leave your candle burning unattended.
Stop burning your candle when 10mm of wax remains in the bottom.
